Jorgensen Farm has hosted an
outdoor dinner for the
Columbus Chapter of the
American Culinary Federation
every June since 2008. This
provides the chefs and culinary
students in Central Ohio an
opportunity to spend an
evening on the farm, and see
how local food is grown.
Jorgensen Farm is an active
member of the Ohio Sheep
Improvement Association, and
Val is a Lamb Feeder Trustee.
Jorgensen Farm hosted an Ohio
Lamb Chef Day on May 17,
2011. The event was sponsored
by Ohio Lamb Marketing
Program, American Lamb
Board, Ohio Grape Industries, Ohio Proud, The Ohio State University
Extension, and The Ohio State University Animal Sciences Department.
It provided chefs throughout Ohio an opportunity to learn how to use
the entire lamb in preparing delicious lamb dishes. Lamb and wine
tastings were provided.
Jorgensen Farm hosted a Girasole (Italian for Sunflower) fundraiser for
Slow Food Columbus's Terra Madre delegation, which traveled to Italy
in October of 2010. Click here to see pictures
