Catering Server

Serving clients and guests at Jorgensen Farms’ unique event venues is the most important part of the experience we provide. Meals are a large part of celebrations, and the Catering Servers will be responsible for demonstrating exceptional food and guest service during an event.

The Catering Servers will be responsible for ensuring that setup, preparation and execution of meal service are completed in a timely and organized fashion and with a positive attitude. Having effective verbal communication skills is a must, as the Catering Servers will be interacting with team members and guests during all shifts.

In this role, the Catering Servers must be prepared to jump in to do whatever is needed to ensure a successful meal service. Having the ability to think and act quickly under pressure will enable the Catering Team to effectively and calmly handle any issue that arises, ensuring that meal and guest service is not disrupted.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work with a team to serve buffet, plated and family-style meals and non-alcoholic beverages

  • Work with a team to bus dishes

  • Work with a team to clean guest space and workspace after meal service is concluded

  • Follow procedures and manuals for professional meal and beverage service

  • Ensure cleanliness of equipment and workspaces

  • Assist with washing dishes when needed

  • Adhere to safety standards before, during and after meal service

  • Unload, stack, package and reload equipment from catering truck when applicable

  • Whatever it takes to create a comfortable, welcoming and supportive environment for JF Staff and Guests

QUALIFICATIONS

Required

  • Guest-centric and Team-focused mentality

  • Minimum of 1 year of food service experience

  • Ability to lift equipment up to 40 pounds and remain on their feet for a minimum of 6 hours

  • Availability to work on evenings, weekends and holidays

Preferred

  • Off-site catering experience

  • ServSafe Certification
